Licensed Therapist Specializing in Anxiety, Depression & Trauma

My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR-AF Therapy, and mindfulness.

Who I Help

I’m here to support creative millennials and adults in their mid-twenties in New York City. Artists and creatives bring such beauty to the world but their struggles often go unseen. My clients want to find their voice, gain confidence, and take control of their lives. I work with people who want to heal from painful past experiences and live a life where they can be fully present.

Therapy Topics I Work With

Anxiety

The weight of anxiety can feel suffocating and impossible to escape. Do you experience stress in your relationships, burnout at work, or live with fear? If you find your thoughts and feelings spiraling out of control, you don’t have to deal with it all alone. I’m here to walk with you as you face overwhelming stressors and together we will identify them and learn new ways to manage them.

Depression

Life is difficult to navigate when you are feeling fatigue, depression, or lack hope to hold you down during the pandemic. I’m here to help you cope with your pain, enjoy the life you’re living, and become optimistic about your future.

Family & Personal Relationships

Whether in your past or your present, the relationships you have with others largely impacts your behaviors, emotions, and mindset. I help clients who grew up in households where they did not feel warmth, nurtured, supported and where criticism, neglect and anger were persistent.

Therapy Services I Offer

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT treats anxiety and depression by helping my clients identify negative thinking and transition towards positive thoughts and living

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT helps my clients practice mindfulness to become grounded and come to a point of acceptance at their pace.

EMDR-AF Therapy

EMDR-AF involves the use of bilateral stimulation to relieve clients of emotional distress related to the past, and repair attachment deficits by reprocessing trauma.

Mindfulness

My therapy works with clients on meditation, self care, and self-awareness to promote a balanced self.

What My Clients Say

“I have been seeing Amy on and off for the past five years. She is one of the most empathetic therapists I’ve ever had. She genuinely cares about my personal struggles and has met my vulnerabilities with grace and wisdom. I have completely transformed as a person because of the work we have done together. I have learned to set boundaries and form better relationships. I have learned to care for myself and value my emotions. Amy is a wonderful person who aims to help people. It’s clear that her work is meaningful and our sessions are much more than just a paycheck to her.”
